I have a Vauxhall Astra H and have recently installed my own aftermarket stereo. I'm really pleased with it apart from one thing. The geniuses at Vauxhall decided to design a dashboard center console that is absolutely vertical - meaning that the display is quite hard to see. Is there such thing as an adaptor that would allow me to install the radio at an upward angle so I can see the shiny properly? |

No idea about adaptor but some of the aftermarket headunits allow you to angle the fascia. Which HU did you go for? |

Kenwood KDC-BT53U My only complaint is that it only recognizes FAT32 for USB sticks but what the hell it was cheap |

Isn't that the same for most cars? Mine only works with FAT32 as does the wife's car and her old one. |

FAT32 is pretty much the universal standard (note, universal, note open). It is easy to implement and everybody supports it (Apple, Microsoft and OSS operating systems) and nearly every (small) USB stick is sold FAT32 formatted - I think some of the larger ones might be exFAT these days, but I'm not sure. |

Which is great until you buy a 64GB USB stick and discover that Windows will only let you format it as exFAT or NTFS. I spent fooking ages titting about until I worked that out ![]() |

Does the radio even support a stick that big? Many are limited to 16 or 32GB. Edit: According to the specs on the Maplin page, it only supports a maximum of 32GB. |

The other problem I've found with memory cards or sticks is that if they're too large, it can take longer to load and navigate them (presumably because more stuff on them). |

You tried using Linux, I hear it's quite effective for that kind of thing? ![]() ![]() |
