C'mon guys! They were both in their 90s! We should be happy they had long and healthy lives.

Too many people get taken well before their time and don't leave the legacies that these two have.

Yep, he had a very good innings. However you didn't get any impression he was frail or ill in any way, he seemed very active for his age. Well, I suppose it's better to go quickly when you do.

Aside from the whole 'cult film' thing, the thing I always got was how amazing his actual voice was. Comparable to the likes of Richard Burton.

I agree, but still sad that they have passed.

I saw something quoted today...

He was Dracula
He was a Bond Villain
He was Ian Fleming's cousin
He was Death
He was Lucifer
He was Dooku
He was Saruman
He knew Tolkien
He was Lord Summerisle
He recorded a heavy metal concept album about Charlemagne
He hunted Nazis during World War 2
He was in a secret unit called The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
When told by Peter Jackson "Imagine how a man being stabbed in the back sounds" he replied "I don't have to imagine it"
He was fluent in English, Italian, French, German and Spanish, "moderately proficient" in Swedish, Russian and Greek and "conversational" in Mandarin Chinese.

He was a legend.
And if Carolyn doesn't want to acknowledge that, she can go elsewhere with her naysaying.

I realised earlier he's been a constant part of my life, and from now on, it will never be the same when he is mentioned (which will be a lot). :( but also :) *raises glass*

Another tribute quote

Quote:
Do you have kids? They know who Christopher Lee is. Are your grandparents still around? So do they. That's amazing.

R.I.P. :(

His first film as Dracula - made way back in 1958 - is still my favourite vampire movie.

It is very sad. Christopher Lee was part of a lot people's childhood and adulthood movies and had been around so long people forgot that he was actually just a man.

Trolls can go back under their rocks.

What naysaying? Saying someone had a very long and happy life is hardly a negative comment.
