I can't remember who was asking for fitness stuff but this deserves it's own thread anyway ![]() I've just got back from my first trial session of British Military Fitness... CLICKY! and it's brilliant! I started in the lowest group (of 3) and it was really good. It's run, for an hour, by serving or former members of the armed forces who all have recognised training qualifications and it's a bloomin' good time! There were people in the same group as me who were very unfit and were walking after a few mins and I was pushing myself as hard as possible but I never felt like I was being held up. At the end I was knackered but I feel so much better for it now! Anyway, anyone looking for keep fit stuff should definitely check them out. They have classes running all over the UK and all of them are outdoors ![]() |

It was me who was asking before. I didn't even know that this existed! Certainly didn't come across it on the RAF website. I'll go to the Bournemouth one after I've finished my exams and I'm home for the summer. Thanks for the link. ![]() |

The URL could be used for a very different type of content. Specialist porn for IT professionals featuring slightly older women. |

Well, I'm still going and I'm still alive (just) ![]() Just got back from a session and it was chucking it down the entire time. I kind of liked it though ![]() I've moved myself up to the middle group and it's still going well!! Wednesday is a voluntary fitness assessment so I can measure myself in a month's time to see any improvement! Can't wait to see the difference. TBH I can already feel a slight difference after only 3 sessions. |

Good stuff! The fun part (for me) is watching the progress as you're body adapts to what you're doing with it. Keep it going! |

Well, just got back from my second fitness assessment (1 month after I joined and did the first fitness assessment). In the first one I got as follows: 1.5km run 7mins10seconds 2mins of - pressups - 17 situps - 21 burpees - 25 (hands to floor, squat thrust and jump up) this time I got as follows: 1.5km run 6mins04seconds! pressups - 25 (IIRC) situps - 32 (IIRC) burpees 35!! Woo! I knew I had improved but that's a hell of a lot more than I thought! Can't wait to see the improvement next time! Although it'll be a smaller improvement than this one I think. |
