Samsung Galaxy: SwiftKey Flaw Could Leave Phones Vulnerable to Hackers
The hack has been confirmed as working on versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6, the S6 and Galaxy S4 Min

Hackers have found a simple way to spy on any Samsung Galaxy phone, security firm NowSecure says.

They are able to exploit an issue with the keyboard software of the phones, allowing them to read texts, install apps, look through the camera and listen to the microphone, according to researchers.

It is thought that as many as 600million devices could be at risk.

But NowSecure warn there is not much users can do other than staying off unsecured wifi networks until Samsung solves the issue - though hackers can still strike on other networks.

The hack works by exploiting a problem with the Samsung IME keyboard, a re-packaged version of SwiftKey.

The problem does not seem to be affecting SwiftKey users on other Android phones.
