Not a bad list at all.

Just as a side note, I've never found Halloween scary at all. It's not a bad film by any means, I just don't get why people are freaked out by it.

As a list, not bad though I can't see why Re-Animator and Sleepy Hollow are placed so low. I found Halloween to be scary...I guess it depends on how many horror films you've seen before and how old you were when watching it. A lot of its best ideas have been re-used countless times since. It's also helped by a very sinister soundtrack.

I've only had time for a very quick scan of the list but I didn't see Japanese shockers The Grudge, Dark Water or The Eye, or (m)any Hammer films.

I was quite young when I saw Halloween, I remember thinking it was stupid that he just kept going no matter what they did to him. But there was just nothing about it I found frightening. Yet Freddy was genius. Even Jason had his moments. Hell, certain scenes in Ghostbusters worked better for me than the entirety of Halloween. I do like the soundtrack though!

Blair Witch was on there... it's only scary in one sense
