I think we're one to five over here, and I'm not sure what way the pay works. Sunday trading is bloody useful here when you consider we've only just gotten pound shops... though the notion of saving the high street with it is laughable - people would be needing the money to spend first, George.

Too short or that it exists at all? Some people would rather it didn't.

If shops/supermarkets are going to advertise themselves as 24/7, then it should be 24/7.
Closing at midnight on Saturday then opening at 1pm on Sunday for 5hrs (I don't even know what time they re-open on Monday mornings) is ridiculous.
Either have a normal working day, or don't open at all.

Bakers open from 7 until 10 here, that's it. The unions are too strong and, as the politicians keep reminding us, we are a Christian land and Sunday is sacred.
