I really must get round to finishing painting my BloodBowl teams. I started them when I bought the game around 30 years ago.

So, before their Citadel Miniatures phase, they made various games, one called Railway Rivals. I had to write to them because the board I had cracked. You drew on them with felt pens as the game progressed, and mind suffered as a result of a lot of play. I hit a letter, and a new board, back. That letter told me that they were sorry for not replying earlier, but they were finishing a deal with Citadel Miniatures. I kept that letter with the new board in my RR set. It must still be there.

I fully painted my Adeptus Titanicus set and most of my Blood Bowl teams. They went into storage in my parent's loft when I left home (with the intention I would collect them when we got our house sorted), only for my brother to sell the lot for a pittance.

The number of hours I put in to them makes it just one more thing I can't forgive him for.

A friend and I would drive to Harrow each week or so for the comic shop and Games Workshop shop in mid/late 1980s. Back to his house for painting and Chinese takeaway.

I will hear no more grief about my Predator figures!

I've always thought GW looked great but I couldn't paint to save my life (you should see the state of me trying to glue broken Preds) and you can't give me something new to get obsessive about.

Friend of mine used to paint miniatures for Games Workshop. He was rather good. I, many moons ago, did some work for their development arm. I believe I may have had a hand in the original WH40K:Rogue Trader. It's a very different place these days though.
