OK so it's till a bit quiet for me in this new job and I can't find anything on favourite restaurants in this thread so thought I'd start one. I'm now working in Southwark near Waterloo. and I have worked here numerous times over the years so have got to know a few restaurants. 3 of my favourite restaurants in London are within walking distance of my office.

The Laughing Gravy Found this gem by accident while staying at the H10 hotel as a weekend treat. Tucked out of the way on Blackfriars road it's a bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit. I've been there twice now and it was consistently good. Can't wait to go back.

Studio 6, Gabriel's Wharf This one is at the back of Gabriel's Wharf next to the Oxo Tower. I've eaten here many times as our manager used to take us out when I was contracting nearby. The food is always amazing and reasonably priced.

The Oxo Tower Restaurant Bit pricey so this is one for a treat. Only been once so far but the food and service was great and the views are amazing. Hoping to go tonight if the boyfriend is well enough. He's now got that cold that's been going around. If we do go I'll post some pics next week.

John Dory's and McDonalds. What?

Sorry... Not enough of a foodie to be bothered going to restaurants.

If you keep saying words like Tesco to me I may well send a hit man over! Awful company

The only reason I get anything from Tesco is Tesco Express is on the way home. I'm a Sainsbury's girl.

Even their delivery driver said he'd help me rip them off if it came to it the other night lol (it was all hypothetical). He said outright he hated them!

Peterborough got a Wagamama's last month so I'll be giving that a go soon.

I very rarely go to restaurants so picking a favourite is a bit tricky.

Honey & co near Warren Street. Middle eastern ( i recommend for breakfast)
I mostly go out for breakfast, so I can also recommend Lantanas and the restaurant at the Editors hotel ( Goodge Street)
Pizza pilgrim and Princi in SOHO.

Wagamama's is OK for a chain restaurant but has absolutely no atmosphere. It's more like sitting in a school dining hall. The food does give you a nice 'feel good' buzz after though.

That may be so but not much impact on me as I've only been twice. I'm more of a gastro pub kind of girl.

I really like a good burger - the Dog in a Doublet do a really good burger out in the Fens.
There used to be a really good sushi and noodles place in Peterborough but it closed down years ago - I was genuinely sad to see it go and now I can't remember what it was called.
