For a long time, I've abbreviated "usually" as usw. No idea where I've learned this from and no idea if I've been doing something wrong. Google has shown no obvious answers.
Any thoughts?

Never seen it before personally. Would not guess 'usually' from that abbreviation.

usw. in German is "und so weiter" and is the equivalent of etc.

Never seen that abbreviation before. I could see usly or something similar working but the w just seems odd given it's not in the actual word itself.

Looks like my own fault. Instead of googling for "usw" and associations with "usually", I looked for the abbreviation of "usually" which is.....
.....usu!
