Tom Baker is number 5? He'll always be the best in my eyes

For Dr Who I think a lot of people class 'their doctor' - the one that was on first when they were a kid as the best (or certainly very highly).
Also, as this was a troll of IMDB scores the age range of the fans who can can bothered to actually rate episodes comes into play as well so I'm not particularly surprised that the top of the table is dominated by the most recent Doctors (spoilers :D )

Tom Baker was my favourite as a kid, but I think Matt Smith and Christopher Ecclestone would be my top two overall.

To be fair though, I still haven't seen any of Capaldi's episodes yet.

Eccleston, Capaldi, Baker (Tom).

My vote would be for David Tennant - the scripts were very good back then - whereas Matt Smith was let down by poor writing. I gave up halfway through his tenure and haven't watched it since. I liked Ecclestone's tormented doctor too.
