Oh dear, immature coments. Those involved should be shot. Anyone with spare immature comments, see http://www.brandrepublic.com/Design/News/929986/Maoam-says-carnal-wrapper-complaint-genuine/ Linux_user, that is just really, really sick. I'm glad it took me a while to figure it out. |

There are a world of possible foodstuffs to abuse for Carry On style hilarity. Plums, pears, baps, buns, melons, coconuts.. Didn't one of the supermarkets rename the noble pollock fish to something else because it even sounded like a vaguely rude word? Jon |

I think spotted dick always raises a slight chuckle. Surely that's the only reason anyone serves it?
I find his letter most amusing. He says "I demanded to see the shop manager and during a heated exchange my wife became quite distressed and had to sit down in the car park." I think the truth was more "I demanded to see the shop manager and during a humiliating exchange my wife became quite embarrassed and had to hide in shame." |

Without Spotted Dick, what else would our foreign visitors giggle at on the menu, when their British hosts deadpan their pudding requests? |

Exactly. Jokes about spotted dick are as traditional as the pudding itself. In fact, I find it to be slightly bland - would it be as popular as it is if it didn't have a silly name?

Gah! Some people have no sense of b!oody humour. Who cares if the name raises a chuckle at the canteen checkout. <Goes to find a sharp stick to 'educate' stupid councillors with> |
