Ive used facebook for years but still yet cant head round the way it works etc, ive got a notification in my hotmail for a birthday invite from a friend who is in Glasgow at Uni

Quote:
N****a M******d invited you to the event "Birthday banter"...

as she is obviously in my friends list in facebook, does this mean its just an automated message because I am added in contacts or did she manually invite me? so confused :?

They created an event then it give the option to invite people from their friend lists.
You would have been chosen manually, you lucky, lucky boy.

I think invites, messages and other correspondence might be limited to 20 people at a time...

No I set up an event myself recently and there are no restrictions to how many people you can invite. There are only restrictions on those annoying apps that go round.

Bratty its more than likely that you WERE invited!

The last incarnation only let you message 20 people at a time...Though by what you just said, it would appear that restriction may have been lifted

cheers all, I found out (Ages ago) that it was a manual invite and went down to Glasgow for the party which was the best and most nervewracking party ive ever been to, loved it.

Need some more help on facebook, I tried adding a friend of mine whos moved to Germany and no responce etc but after a few months she has not confirmed (adding me back on facebook) and ive got about 8 emails on my hotmail saying "friend" tagged one of your photos on facebook" what does that mean exactly?

About #1. I'm not sure there's much you can do about it.... maybe send them an email instead seeing if they're alright and whether or not they use Facebook often?

As for #2. Basically you can "tag" photo's meaning that when someone hovers their mouse over a specifically "tagged" area of the photo a comment/piece of text can appear. Facebook also let's you tag people in photo's as well meaning that when you hover over someone's picture it comes up with their name and shows a link to their profile just below the picture.
