There is also the Korg KaoscilatorI missed out on a Cassio electric guitar/synth on ebay a month or so ago. Probably a good thing.

The Korg Kaossilator looks seriously cool and it isn't too expensive. Not cheap but still reasonably affordable.

The Yamaha Tenori-On is a seriously cool piece of kit. I bought one on the strength of a half-hour demo at Music Live in 2007.
