It was just so sudden and unexpected, I was meaning to catch-up with them too as we hadn't spoken in a little while. I feel rather gutted, and a little guilty. :(

My condolences LU. :(

Having lost 4 close family members in the last 18 months, I sympathise with our situation. It is really upsetting when you don't get a chance to say good bye.

Just let it take you, talk to his family (if you know them), or your girlfriend about your friendship and have a good cry. It really does help.
