Some of you may remember that my brother was stabbed a few months ago.

Well, the court case has just been concluded and his attacker was given three years, but will only serve 14 months inside.

His solicitor argued that despite leaving his house that night with a 10" blade in his posession, and the fact that he has three previous convictions for knife crime, he was off his face on drink and drugs; and managed to get him off on diminished responsibility!

Completely f***ing outrageous.

So, there you go, if you want to commit a serious crime just get stoned and pissed before you do the deed.

I'll bet if you went looking for him with a 10" knife and stabbed him now, you'd get life for attempted murder.

These light sentences piss me off!

A friend of mine is in court this month. Her ex beat her up (badly). Somehow he was only charged with common assault rather than ABH or GBH. Even if he's found guilty, I don't expect anything custodial.

Can I have the solicitors details please sounds like he is a bloody good one.
