I just thought I'd try my luck and let you know that I do canvas painting.

Mostly for interior design, but some abstract art too. Depening on what people want.

As some of you might know, the cavases you buy in shops like Dunelm, Argos, Next or other big retailers; are very expensive. Some even as high as £80 for a matching tier of canvases.

I have a background of Art, from doing GCSE and A level Art. So I know my stuff.

My prices are very competitive, and anything can be done. If you want it to match something, or have something particular in mind. I can do it. Everything from painting, to patterns and even kids stuff like, Pooh and fairies and what ever. I can do it.

If any of you are interested, I will put up some pictures of the ones I've done in my house. I don't have pictures of the ones I've done for other people, because only now I've thought about doing it to make extra money.

If any of you are interested, post here :)

Cool. Good luck!

We are trying to do the same sort of thing but with photos. It's not going quite as well as it could, but we're working on it. Original canvas art will probably be a better bet for you.

:)

Thanks! :)

I'm trying to offer people some options. It all started when my mother wanted a big 20" x 20" canvas for one of the walls in the dining room. She has gorgeous paper, and didn't want to ruin it by just buying one.

So I told her I'd make her one.

I took some of the pattern out of the wallpaper, copied it to the canvas, inverted the colours slightly, and added some of the pattern she had on the cushions on the seats.

Worked perfectly. All her friends who come over for tea were like, wow, I love that, where did you buy it form? My mother obviously said that I made them, and the rest is history.

But now I'm trying to make a small living out of it. If it's possible.

I#d never heard of Debra stroud before!

I googled her and found these, which are very similar to the pieces I did for a lady in Swansea.

Debra Stroud does some amazingly thought provoking work.
A local gallery had some of her work on display ages ago and I made a point to go in and see it, as this was the first time I'd actually seen her work with my own eyes, and the colours she uses are just so intense I could look at her stuff all day.
