Well, that was an extended and very interesting qualifying session for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

I won't add any spoilers for anyone not having seen it yet, but I'm amazed the drivers haven't grown flippers.

Interesting indeed.
Seems likely the interlagos GP will NOT decide the title this year.
It pains me to say this, and I can't quite believe it, but jenson has a chance of blowing this. Next weekend should be absolutely fascinating.
Why do British sportsmen feel the need to make life so uncomfortable for their fans?

That would have helped Fisichella in Q1, for sure.

Jenson Button's Dad came out with the best quote for me. When asked whether the race director should just go with the qualifying times from Q1 for the starting grid, he replied they ought to be in championship order. :lol:

Yeah, that was great.

You could tell that John Button and Nick Fry just wanted to dance a jig over Vettel's quali position, but manners won the battle. Could have been a bit embarrassing, considering what happened afterwards though. :(

Was nice to see RB giving some of the credit to the staff they had to let go over the winter.

Big thumbs up for the Brawn team and Jenson; showed its not just the biggest wallet that wins, at least not every time.

Next year is, I think going to be a really interesting championship. I reckon we'll get 3 or 4 teams that are all roughly the same standard.

I really enjoyed that race. It was full of incident and lots of excitement. Much better than some of the GPs, where they settle down to a procession after the scramble off the grid.

I felt for Rubens Barrichello. He'd worked hard to get pole, on his home circuit, and led the race for the first stint. He just couldn't get it back after the first round of pitting. He's never won at Interlagos, and to not even get a podium in front of his home crowd - and potentially his last chance to do that, too - must have been gutting.

Good to see Mark Webber, Robert Kubica and Lewis Hamilton up on the podium for a change. Only Webber's second F1 win, too.

Hearty congratulations to Brawn GP and Jenson Button for clinching both titles. For a company that barely existed at the start of the season, didn't even know if they would have an engine deal to take them through the season, and didn't have any sponsorship to speak of, Ross Brawn showed he had the mettle to build a team that could win races and championships. Well-deserved all round, I say.

So, do we think Brawn will go out all guns blazing in Abu Dhabi and try to finish the season with both drivers on the podium? Or will they just relax now they don't have to work at it any more?

I think both Brawn and Red Bull will go all out for a 1 -2 in the last race, Brawn have the fresher engines thought so we shouls be in for an interesting race.

Fantastic race; very clever of McLaren to pit LH when the safety car came out on lap one so they could change him off the options allowing him to complete the whole race on the prime and only stop one more time. The Red Bulls were super fast and probably would have had a one – two if all had been equal over the weekend……. But it never is luckily.

Jenson was unlucky to get stuck behind KOBAYASHI who was out to secure an F1 seat for next year, breath of fresh air in my opinion with his slightly aggressive defensive driving. Although I'm sure NAKAJIMA wouldn't agree with me :lol:

Great race, great season and I'm over the moon to see Jenson the world champ at long last with double the wins of anybody else this year and more wins than Lewis Hamilton last year when he won his world title. Respect....
