This is an official request from the Discovery Channel & Antenna Audio.

If you own an iPhone or iPod touch can you please download 'Yours Vincent, the letters of Vincent Van Gough' and review it? It's free!

Many thanks!!

Carolyn

P.S. Before anyone says anything I can only try!

There isn't one. We'd just like to get people's feedback. It's software that's been developed by us (pentimento) and it was launched in Amsterdam last week.

Downloaded it and...

Disappointed first impression, I was expecting to see the letters or translations of them. I was sitting for the telly and thought I'd look at it during a commercial break and the videos started up. A nice idea, but I'd prefer the option to read them as well (either 2 top menus, one for text, one for multimedia, or a preference to switch modes, with maybe some key pictures. Having the text would make it much easier to dip in and out of for a minute or so, when waiting for something to happen, also means you could use the app in environments where you can't use audio/video (E.g. office environment) or it is impractical (E.g. surrounding environment is too loud).

That said, the videos do see to be of a very high quality. As a multimedia app, with the video, images of the original letters and translated text, I'd buy it for my Mac / PC and for the iPhone. As pure video, it loses a lot of its appeal to me.
