I've never been one to wear the latest clothes. Truth be told, girls have done most of my "fashionable" shopping (I've hated clothes shopping ever since I was a kid). Hence I'll buy a new jacket or shoes when the old ones are worn out and the clothes I buy come from eithrt Next or Burtons.

I'm looking for stores where I can buy some decent clothes. Not stupidly expensive places but somewhere where I could get a jacket say for £200 or so and some decent tops.

Live in Brum so lots of shops. Just don't know which ones to go to.

I got spam from Asda offering free delivery on clothing from George. I'm seriously thinking of using it, because I hate shopping for clothes and I can probably get the girls at work to chose for me.

www.threadless.com for unique tshirts, sometimes takes a while to get them though

My first port of call for trousers is Next and I go first to M&S for tops.
The last jacket I bought was from Dunnes (I don't know if you have that chain in England) but it was reduced from £120 down to £40, which was a nice bargain.
I've previously bought stuff in Top Man as well.
I so rarely buy clothes because they seem to last me absolutely ages.

I know it makes me sound like a fusty middle-aged person, but Cotton Traders sells some good quality stuff. It's a bit dowdy, but quite hard-wearing.

*gets kagoul*

I used to maintain that I didn't care how I looked, but that's rubbish.
I like to buy good quality stuff, but I'm a right cheap-skate. (8+)
Just recently it's rather ironic that the less money I've had the more I've become aware that if I want stuff that's really going to last me then I have to pay that little bit more for it.
I'm also not a fan of advertising the clothing that I'm wearing.
I agonised over buying the hooded top that I have simply because I couldn't find a good quality, plain black one.
In the end I managed to get one that has a dark grey logo on the left breast. None of this mahoosive labels stuck all over the garment to turn you in to a walking advertisement for the clothes manufacturer.

The Cotton Traders stuff tends to just have a little cotton ball icon somewhere reasonably discrete. Occasionally they brand something in a more heavy fashion, but it tends to be bags and stuff.

I find I get most of my clothes from CT now. I use their web site, and there are two stores locally. Before that, I used Matalan a lot - because they were cheap. Oh, how true, especially as their stuff wore out really quickly, and the sizes they quoted are way off what they actually are. At least with Cotton Traders, I can get something that covers my somewhat oversize form with ease.

Am I the only one who thought that this was going to be a rant about the lack of decent threads on the forum? ;)

Anyway, back on topic... Mrs. V. buys all of mine. The first thing she did when I moved in with her was throw away about 95% of my clothes, ('cos they were crap!)

Depends what I need, Matalan for cheap jeans, Primark for cheap t-shirts.

If I need anything half decent it's usually Next. I have a really nice Next coat, it's big and green and very warm, and seeing as I hate coats, but love this one, I thought it was a bargin at £70 last year. I've worn it lots too :D

That's what the purple one did with all mine. Though if anyone recalls the sort of shirts I used to wear, you probably wouldn't blame her!

I'm a "+1" on hating clothes shopping. I just did my next 6 months of clothes shopping from Asda online, spent £27.50 and that includes all my shopping for Egypt as well. Mostly I go shopping once a year with my sister, she organises 5 or 6 tops that will go with 5 or 6 set of trousers so I know that whatever I wear it'll all go together. I don't understand fashion at all, I don't understand why some things go together and other things dont', I like stuff that's comfy and easy to wear, I don't put much effort into getting ready for work so whatever I buy has to be hard-wearing and "suitable" for work.

Do you have any kind of Outlet Village near you? I tend to use the one near Chester when I'm back home seeing my folks, as whilst I like nice clothing I really couldn't give a monkey's about it being this season.

Other than that I tend to get everything from eBay / United States, partly for price and partly because I'm [LIFTED] huge and find it easier to get things in the right size.

I too hate shopping so I get most of my clothes from Freemans catalogue. It's all on the website online. Free delivery and collection. You get 2 weeks to decide if you want the item if not just arrange for the courier to come and collect. Easy peasy.
