Unpleasant topic, I know, so probably not a good idea to have consume, comsuming, or about to consume a meal.
Been really loose all week, going four to five times a day but this morning, awoke at 5am with abdominal cramps. Went twice, then again three hours later.
Not been able to sleep properly. Am supposed to head down south today as I'm back to work tomorrow. Imodium's helped a little but not much.
Feel rough. What I hate is the fact that I had this last year around the same time (give or take a couple of weeks). Except back then, I was working on a ward with an outbreak of diarrhoea. This time, I've put it down to the dodgy food we had when we got some takeaway on Monday. Everybody who ate has had a dodgy stomach since, but it's been okay. I'm the first to fall, it seems.
What do you guys do when you have diarrhoea?

Drink loads of water and eat chips with plenty of salt and vinegar. Unfortunately only time will cure this - just like a hangover... Al

Water, yes, but I usually eat a lot of toast with little or no spread on it. Mark

I'm drinking a fair bit of water. Tried some dry toast and it's nasty, mainly because it's wholemeal. Whitebread toast is more palatable.

Don't eat anythign for a day, then eat some soup and watery stuff. I'd have thought bread of any description would be a bad thig to eat, it's not very good for your digestion at the best of times.

loperamide hydrochloride tablets will help a bit too... [just get the cheap generic ones rather than immodium or whatever]
other than that... liquid of chioce [doesn't have to be water... as long as it replaces what's coming out] and bananas...

EDIT: Youtube is a gigantic idiot and won't show the right video. Keep drinking loads of water, but avoid things like Lucozade, coffee etc. They will only give you a headache (or at least they did for me when I had it last year). Eat more solids too. Like toast, crisps etc. Really helped me, and I think you know what I'm on about by eating more solids. Get well soon!

In a thread entitled "Diarrhoea" i'm not sure I want to see a video... ^_^ If you know anyone in the military or in any way associated with the military try and get your hands on some biscuits. They've got fruit biscuits and brown biscuits, and one of these really bungs you up (can't remember which right now). I've been told that this is on purpose so that you don't need to crap when marching long distances, but i'm not sure how much of it I believe. All I know is that I didn't crap on a 4-day training mission!

Imodium Plus, plenty of water and Saltzstangen (pretzel sticks? Dry and not much to them, lumps of salt on them, so helps maintain salt levels in the body).

Do you have tablets in your house called Co-codamol?Take those, they help to harden your stools. And is a pain reliever Because you are going to the toilet alot, make sure you drink lots of water, and stay clear of greasy foods. Eat dry bread and biscuits about at 4 hour intervals.

morning all, i dont think its something you have eaten matey as this bug hit 4 out of the 6 in our house a week or so ago.the really strange thing is that it appears to be worse at night time, although the cramps did appear a few times during the day but it was far worse at night time and in all cases it lasted at least 4 days and 2 of our 4 got it again a few days later but for a shorter period.speaking to a local lady who's a doctor she said that it was highly contagace and doing its rounds at the moment.on a slightly better note i didnt get it cheers spunky
