Student doing some green screen compositing at work: "We're doing a Jedi thing. Do you know what a Jedi is?"
Me: *points to my Han Shot First t-shirt.*
Student: *blank look*
Me: "Let's assume I do."

Rogue Shoot: Rumors Spread That 'Rogue One' Reshoots May Not Have Been Directed By Gareth Edwards
http://sciencefiction.com/2016/08/03/ro ... h-edwards/

There's no proper reason films can't be storyboarded out with B plans if need be. Especially if you're Disney. The real reason it happens is your release date keeps the business types happy while pissing off just about everyone else.

Donald Glover finally confirmed as young Lando in the Han Solo spin-off film.
No major surprise, as he'd been rumoured for the role for a while, but it's nice to have it confirmed.
