Post subject:  Greatest ever (non-computer) game (Nominations)

Now the chocolate poll has finished we need a new one. One suggestion has been a poll of the greatest board games ever.
I'm a little worried that this my not provide enough choices. If that happens we may extend nominations to include a wider range of games or toys.
To begin with the nominations must meet the following rules

1) A maximum of 5 nominations per forum member
2) No battery powered items/games may be included
* A game that has a small battery powered aid may be included, eg the battery powered card thrower in Uno Extreme as the main game is a card game.
3) The game may be current or out of production
4) No computer games, consoles or devices of any kind may be entered.
5) There doesn't literally need to be a board. Any game played at a table (or similar) will be accepted
*eg card games like top Trumps.
6) Multiple versions of the same game will count as one entry
* eg Monopoly, Monopoly Yorkshire Edition, Monopoly Disney Edition etc
7) Nominations should be posted in this thread. I'll update the nominations list on a daily basis
8) You may change your nominations. Post which game you want to remove and what to replace it with
* If somebody else nominated the game you wish to remove, it will remain in the poll.
9) Entries must be games rather than toys or sports
*Things like Lego, Duplo and Mechano are not allowed. Neither are Darts, Snooker etc.

If you have any other rule recommendations, PM me.

The Nominations
* Entries in red are being debated as to whether they're allowed to enter.

I'm guessing nominations will go on for a week or two.

I nominated some non-board-based stuff. Surely it would have been easier to just nominate in this thread.

Is Lego a game or a toy?

Good question. Should we allow Lego/Duplo/Meccano? What does everyone think?

I suppose the main difference is that you can play with lego, duplo and meccano by yourself whereas with the rest of the list, you can't really play board games on your own.

I was trying to come up with an alternative name but failing miserably.
Edd to the rescue.
