How law abiding are you?

Voting is relatively anonymous, but comments are welcome. Tick every box that applies, and list anything else you'll admit to

I think I've done all those except the bodily harm and the sexual thing.

I'm not sure if 'hurting a fluffy wuffy animal' is necessarily a crime though - my particular crime was to shoot a squirrel with an air rifle - I'm not sure if that was illegal? :?

I did 75-80 in a 70, on my first drive after passing my test :D (country roads, great visibility, no one about, had to be done)

You're right, it's not necessarily a crime. You can shoot vermin and game. I think squirrels count as both

Shooting your neighbours cat or fish is definitely not sport though. Ironic that your neighbour's cat is allowed to shoot your fish

lol, so far twice as many votes for speeding than pie-eating

Pie eating isn't a real crime btw, unless you're in weight watchers. Even then, it's only a tummy offence.

Speeding is it. Worst offence was 240 in a 100 zone! With a police car following me! Somehow I didn't get pulled!

I was doing 240 when I passed the sign, rolled off the throttle and looked for somewhere to pull in, rolled into the middle lane, still doing 160, still felt the presence of a car behind me, looked at the right hand land, rolled into it and braked down to 100 when it was safe. Checked behind me and there was a green and white police car sitting on my tail!

I had safely lost the speed, relatively quickly, and moved out of the way. I was 5km from the border and I was riding a bike with English plates in Germany. I rode at 100km/h for another 2km, then the police car powered past men and drove off. I think that, being foreign and having lost the speed and stuck to the limit after passing the sign meant I was riding relatively safely and I wasn't worth the hassle... That was the time I got from Hannover to Ostende in under 3.5 hours! (And still missed the ferry by 30 seconds!)

Other than that I haven't really broken any laws, no illegal parking, no attacking people or causing harm, no killing things, no dealing drugs etc.

I'm shocked that the Defamatory Remarks isn't in the lead, and I'm basing that on nothing more than some of the posts that get left on the x404 forums.

Speeding and parking for me, though I've not been caught doing either.

These days I will only park in legal places, and I try like beggary to stay within the speed limits, even on motorways.

I got a parking ticket in London some years ago for overstaying a free space by a few minutes.

Speeding (once or twice, not routinely), littering (more due to laziness chasing things that have blown off on horrible days, and again very rarely with a guilt trip) and Pie (Serial offender) for me

...oh, and probably defamatory remarks on these fora, but it doesn't seem to want to let me re-vote.

too young to have had a chance at half of those things, littering and pie-eating for me :)

Speeding and parking - yes, though both were in emergency situations.
Animal thingy - yes, while working for the countryside commision. Grey squirrels are vermin and as such shooting them is OK?
Drugs - I have smoked the odd joint or two in my time, but not since I moved to Manchester, nearly 10 years ago.
Defamatory remarks - Nothing that would stand up in a court of law, but I do like pushing my luck from time to time. ;)

I think that's all of them...

PS. Second post - stupid laptop keyboard took me back to the main index when I accidentally pressed one of the "special" buttons, next to the arrows

Edit to add: PIE! :D

I scored 80% :D

Seriously though, we were all young once (most of you still are) and its how you conduct yourself after these indiscretions that matters.

Pie would be my long-term, serious addiction yet to be resolved though. I doubt The Priory could help me on that one... :?
