Welcome to the April Photo Comp.
The theme for this round is:

Patience

The Timescale:

* Voting occurs for one week from midnight on the last day of April until midnight on the seventh of May.
* After voting has finished the winner chooses the next theme within a couple of days.
* Once the new theme has been chosen entries may be submitted until midnight on the last day of the month.

The Rules:

* Each user is allowed to submit ONE photo for consideration. You may change your submitted photo at any time up to the due date. Just send me a PM with your new entry.
* There is no maximum or minimum image size, we are not here to discriminate against hardware.
* Only very light editing is allowed. Adjustment of Levels, Colour Correction, Contrast, Sharpening and Cropping is allowed.
* This thread will be closed at the specified time (end of the month). No extra entries will be accepted, except under special circumstances.
* Entries breaking these rules will not be entered.
* The forum policy must be followed.
* If you wish to remain anonymous even after voting has finished, then please let me know when you are submitting your image.

The Process:

* Please keep the image size to less than 1.5Mb
* Go out and take a photo, fitting in the theme and rules.
* Post your entry to me by PM, I will host it and post it.
* When the due date passes, the entries thread will be closed, and a voting thread created to determine the favourite.
* You will not be able to vote for your own entry.

The Tips:

* Think laterally, not literally. Makes for an interesting piece.
* Try to make everyone think about what they're looking at.
* Do what YOU think is right. Art is very subjective. What's great to you, sucks to someone else, etc.
* Title your work, it will make your choices more obvious
* This is nothing serious, have fun while you're doing it.

Good luck.

Al(ex)

Please note, I am purely posting this here so it continues after Dennis closes down tomorrow.

Hehe, if you all want it to fail miserably then sure :D

I think Prof is the best for this round as he knows all the entrants.

If he doesn't want to continue next round then... I suppose it's up to someone to come forward as the next host :D

It's either you or a moderator, since they'll need to edit your OP.

Looks like you volunteered

I has an idea for this which isn't entirely unlike the idea I had that wasn't the same as the one HK did which she did before I did the one I didn't do, but hers was better anyway but there's nothing like it yet so maybe I should :D

Its been so long since I've picked up my camera, I doubt I can remember which way round to hold it. I do actually have some paid photography work coming up, which I really can't turn down as cash it tight at the moment. I'm just worried that the results might not be up to scratch.

Haven't got a scooby regarding competition ideas, and I probably don't have the time to figure it out. hopefully once my wonderful new driving school takes off, I'll have a bit more time on my hands to get involved with the competition again.

I had a brilliant idea for this when we were at the fish shop earlier, but I have absolutely no chance of getting it before the end of the month. Looks like I won't be taking part this month :(
