As someone who floods cereal bowls with milk, this is a curiosity for me: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Strang ... 1568?f=rss Any objections to the notion? I'd probably give it a go ![]() Oh, and I initially read it as 'Caramel milk' ![]() ![]() |

Why not? I drink cows milk and goats milk, why not any-old-animal milk? I've got the same philosophy with meat. I always laugh when people object to eating horse or dog, but they'll happily eat a cow or chicken. What difference does it make? |

That's the way I'm looking at it too currently, but then what do I really know about it ![]() I'm reminded of that Red Dwarf episode though, where Holly says dogs' milk lasts longer than any other type of milk. Why? Cos no bugger will drink it ![]() |

Or meat? Mmm Soylant Green. Actually, I guess "baby formula" is probably quite a lot like people milk, if you want to try it in your tea? I heard about the camel milk thing a while ago. It's supposed to be a little less unhealthy than cows milk, so if they can make it commercially viable then why not? |

I'm sort of wavering towards the opinion that cow juice is in fact very good for you in sensible quantities, full of fat and protein ![]() |

Some of the most common health problems in the UK are related to excess consumption for fat and sugar, two things milk is very high in. In the old days when your granny said "butter, cream, cheese and honey are good for you" she was right, because we had frugal diets, no heating and worked hard. These days, sugar and fat just make our already comfortable lazy arses even fatter, damage our circulation, cause heart disease and strokes. If you eliminated all dairy produce from the typical UK diet, then on average you would improve health. The key is "sensible quantities", or "part of a healthy diet". So many people eat so many sweets and cakes on a daily basis that they're already over 9000 times the healthy dose of sugar and fat. A glass of milk a day could well be healthy for many people, but not when combined with biscuits, cakes, crisps, sweets, chips, cheese burgers and chocolate. |
