My wife got me a second hand T-rex 600 nitro for Christmas, spent a couple of days striping it down and rebuilding it. Today was the first try, started first time and hovers great can not wait to get up the field for a real test. ![]() Second picture bit washed out, but I forgive her ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Be careful with your fingers and don't put it anywhere near computer screens. Mark |

That is one cool toy. How long does it take to learn to fly it? And what about building it? Can an average Joe pick up instructions and build it or are any special skills required? |

Can I ask, what do you do after you've flown it about for 5 minutes? Genuine question. |

Well I don't know what the current ones are like but as a teenager ( over 30 years ago ) I spent 18 months "getting the hang" of flying one. Total Nightmare but great fun ![]() |

I'll have to wait for my present... Bought my girlfriend and myself a new (well, extended) kitchen for the new house. Should be installed at the end of January. New designer sink and drainer from Blanco's Steel Art line and a matching square mixer-tap, Miele 48db A+ dishwasher, induction cooker, eye level oven, A+ fridge all in brushed metal look (dishwasher has a full front which matches the kitchen units). http://www.blanco-steelart.de/flash/ind ... _5s-if.xml |

Sounds nice. I've always been concerned with induction hobs though; I don't think most of my cookware would work on them. I understand they're no good with copper, aluminium, glass, tin or stainless steel? |

Some people learn very quick I was not one of them, took me about three months to hover side in. Been flying about a year now no 3D just basic flying about. The trouble with helicopters is they are never stable, you have to correct their flight all the time and you never stop learning. The building of the kits is not hard, the skill is setting up the rotor head and the radio, but after far too many crashes, building them now is easy. |

The pots must be magnetic, so steel should work. But you need good quality ones, otherwise they might "hop" about on the stove. |
