Well here we are at the launch of a new decade and I hope you all made a resolution to vote :D The comp last month was one of the most successful we've had in terms of numbers but the sheer variation of interpretation has stunned me. Well done peeps Image Image Image Image

So, rules as below and you have until midnight on the 7th January 2010 to get those votes in.

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week from midnight on the last day of each month until midnight on the seventh day of the month.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants.

Al

As a quick reminder, here's a link to the piccies... Linky to pics...

Stickified.

I'm close to actually voting. Watch this space, or one a bit further down the page.

Okay, I'll go first, then...

1. Sun Block
A brilliant image. Love it.

2. Well You Did Ask
Nice shot, interesting image, and a good joke.

3. Natural on Brick
This was the toughie. So many other entries could have been chosen, but this one pipped it.

Fantastic entries this round. Good work chaps!

[Edited for stupidity.]

Well you did ask

I was going to go for the image of a feather to illustrate the lack of weight aspect of this month's theme, but went with something else after capturing it purely by chance.

2 - Moonlit
3 - The Dying of the Light

Quite a variety this month.
