Post subject: | O2 Broadband |
I am looking to change my ISP as being an O2 customer I can get their premium package for £10 a month. Up to 20Mb Couple of questions for anyone here using them? How good is the connection/service? Is it always fast or are there slowdowns? Also I have my own domain for email which I want to transfer. Do O2 host domains or can anyone recommend a free/cheap hosting company? Many thanks |

It depends, is your line LLU or BT Wholesale material? |

I don't know if my line or not but the Exchange is. How can I tell if my line is or not? Thanks |

Check whether your exchange has 02 LLU stuff here: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/llu-operator/be If it does I expect you will get a good service. |

Go through Quidco if you don't have an O2 phone contract, you will save yourself a lot of money (I think it works out less than £5 a month after cashback for a year) |

I spoke to O2 and they said there is no limits on their service as they are LLU, no caps or throttleing. They don't do domain hosting so I am moving to fasthosts as it is 1.25 a month for email which is fine. |

That looks great. Do I just sign up through that site or is there anything else that I need to do? |

All I can say is Quidco is great for 'somewhat one-offs' like this and internet shopping in general ![]() |

Yep, you will get the payment later down the line (less £5 annual membership) I use it for play.com, game etc online ordering, great for car insurance too after comparing quotes online. Got £150 or so from the year ![]() |

We use quidco alot, and it's given us hundreds of quid in the past few years, but you do have to remember that it is never guaranteed. |

O2 and Be Broadband speeds dip My Be connection is still way better than Plusnet were. No sneaky PHORM* either. *Plusnet only trailed it, but as someone who works in IT and appreciates people being willing to test things for me I wasn't happy to find out how they abused my trust. |
