...sounds stupid but there's a couple of films coming out that are basically remakes.

Karate Kid

I heard about this on Radio 1 a while back. I loved the original films (apart from the Next Karate Kid). Can't believe a remake is happening so soon. What's so crap is that they're in China where Kung Fu originated and is what is being taught, not Karate! This should have been called Kung Fu Kid at the very least. At least they've modernised the wax on/wax off.

A-Team

This just looks so ridiculous, it looks more like a parody that a proper film. Maybe it's just the way the characters are dressed up.

Recently, there seems to have been a spate of 80s remakes - BSG, Knight Rider, etc. What the hell's wrong with Hollywood?!?!?

Any other films that you're dreading?

I'm waiting to watch the official A-Team trailer if that isn't it - I have to say the on-set reports seem to have been good, and there's talent on both sides of the camera so I'm hopeful :)

The Karate Kid trailer is the usual very badly edited affair IMO, so I don't really know what to think about it...

I'm dreading Yogi Bear with Dan Aykroyd and Justin Trousersnake

I'm actually tentatively looking forward to both of those movies. Nostalgia is a powerful force!

I tend not to dread films, as if I don't think I'll like them, I just don't watch them.

I can't think of any examples (brain fail) but there's been a few films I was very "dubious" about which turned out to be a stonking good watch.

You must watch every single film ever made no matter how rubbish you expect it to be, because the last five minutes might be really good.

Kung-foo kid doesn't look that bad to be honest. I think it's a great role for a more mature Chan.

*sings Hong Kong Fuey theme choon*

A good few months back I began a new policy of switching a film off if it hasn't grabbed me in the first forty minutes, unless it's something I know is a slow burner and so should get better with a bit more time... The only time I've stuck with a film that was going nowhere recently is when I've been at the flicks with friends and therefore paid somewhat over the odds for the crap experience ;)

At home, I often start another film or TV show where possible (or depending on what time it is) :)

I admire your attitude, JJ. Unfortunately, I'm not quite as resolute. However, I am currently re-watching Narnia after being disappointed 4yrs ago. So far, it's actually alright....

Maybe I will watch more crap for the good bits

A-Team Move Trailer

Posted as I couldn't get the one in the O.P. to work.

I think it looks like it could be good.

Trailer does look alright and Bradley Cooper is even more spot on than I imagined him to be. However, what's with the changed prologue!! Asshole hollywood bastards.
