Dear User,

Is there any point in me being here? All you ever seem to do is try to make me look like I'm wrong or lying.

I you ask me to explain how something works it is because you don't know how it works. So why then, after I have been trawling through code for the last hour to find the answer for you, do you immediately tell me I'm wrong. If you know I'm wrong then you must know how it works and so why did you waste my time asking me in the first place.

If I explain that something isn't working because chosen account wasn't closed properly or the wrong option was selected then don't go away, change it and then come back claiming you haven't done anything and telling me I must be wrong. Especially don't try to claim that you haven't changed anything and tell me I was telling a lie before to try to "fob you off".

If you are going to do these things then please go and pester someone else and don't waste my time.

Regards
----------------------------------------------

Dear Helpdesk,

If a user tells you something doesn't work then please actually check that it doesn't work before sending it up to me. I am already snowed under with people telling me I'm wrong or calling me a liar.

I don't need to be wasting more time double checking the work that you are doing.

If you send me a problem with no information on it then I will assume you have done nothing and purely read it and though "can't be arsed" and passed it to me.

If you are going to do this then the company may aswell fire you and give me your chair as nothing would have changed and it would mean you are not wasting company resources.

Regards

P.S. IS THERE ANY F*CKING POINT!?

No,

I'm a developer here, but the helpdesk see me as second line. Anything they can't be arsed to fix comes to me. There is a guy who is supposed to be second line but he's useless.

Maybe some sort of automated relpy saying: "I'm am not 2nd line support, please send your email to the correct recipient." would be in order?

Simple step:

Does helpdesk have stacktrace, repro steps or anything of that nature and checked other issues?

If so.... have a look

If not GTFO

I had this set as my desktop for a long time at work (before I replaced it with a porsche 918)
