It was a good turn out - plenty of pics and plenty of votes.

Well done Prof, a deserving win for a stunning pic.

Well done Alex, and this should be a good lesson to everyone else that takes part in these competitions; even a mediocre image can win sometimes. *smirk*

If all else fails, convert it to black and white (it usually looks more impressive) :D

Seriously though, as nvj says, the best turnout by far this year with two peeps losing their virginity - Mr Vella and Mr Saspro Image Image Image Image Image

It's a level playing field here......

Cheers all!
That was one of the first dozen or so shots taken on my new camera on Christmas Day. Managed to get out with the camera about 10pm, and it was really windy and cold, so stopped off at one of my usual haunts, stuck the camera on the sticks under a street light (so any oncoming traffic stood a chance of seeing the chap in the dark navy parka crouched in the road), and took some long exposures at 1600.
This was, I think, one of the last of the evening. Maybe the last one I took. The others weren't as sharp.
It's a camera produced .jpg, shot as B&W with some basic contrast adjustment.

As for a new topic, I'm going to sleep on it and see what tomorrow brings my tired mind. :)

Congrats Alex,

Quite surprised we pulled 4th place tbh, a last minute entry from an internet cafe in Egypt, from pics we had taken on a sunset felucca ride the day before. I'm quite enjoying all the entrants, especially the ones showing a sense of humour. Good job everybody 8-)

Unfortunately a sense of humour does not guarantee votes...

Note to self: Next time don't try and be funny, just submit a half decent picture! ;)
