Is yours expensive??? Here's why:

Last month a little old lady pulled out of a parking space at the side of the road as my wife drove by with the inevitable result. My wife has just received a call from the hire car company asking whether the hire car allocated to her should be delivered to the house or the garage where her own car is to be repaired. The wife asked where the car was coming from (thinking it was the local town) and the chap replied 'Manchester'

Now, Manchester to Lossiemouth is 400+ miles and takes over 7 hours given decent road conditions and both roads (Perth to Inverness and Aberdeen to Elgin) were closed yesterday and are pretty dodgy today. The chap reckoned on 2-3 hours delivery from Manchester so I reckon our hire car is either a Veyron or a skidoo  He's going to phone the wife back with confirmation that a driver will be available - apparently most of them couldn't get into work today...,

Planet Earth chaps. Please pay us a visit......

Al

On Saturday, some dopey cow drove into the back of my parked car as she had not bothered to scrape the ice of her windscreen. Apart from a small letterbox for her eyes. Thankfully no damage.

Yea - had the car less than a week and a woman ran into the back of me with her car but this time the wife had the honour...

Twice today, I've nearly had coming-to's with 4x4 drivers. One was in a Mitsubishi, charging up the hill at the gap on my side of the road (car parked on his), which meant I had really to get on the anchors, in the snow and possibly ice, hoping I'd balanced enough between stopping safely and the ABS kicking in.
Then a Discovery decided that he could drive over the nose of my car in Waitrose car park, until I held the horn down and he reversed. Cretins. A touch of snow and they think they've suddenly got right of way over everyone.

Not quite, I reckon Porsche Cayennes are worse.

Having read his recent motoring exploits I'd say that the Porsche drivers are nowhere near as bad as... What is it you drive again, Bratty?

:P

My insurance is pretty cheap for my RS50, although when I had an accident (nothing much, a car pulled out, I locked my front wheel up and slid out) I didn't bother claiming as the snow on the ground meant there was no damage to the bike.

I think I pay something like £250 a year for 3rd PF+T, which is not bad at all to say the insurance company see me as a typical 16-year old chav. :)

Would that have covered your scooter/moped/thing then?

Had a bmw driver just reverse into the front of my car, me and the girlfriend were looking out the window at the snow when he did it. Went out to ask if he was going to leave a note in case there was any damage. Got a mouth full of abuse as he walked off, including saying
"If you have such a problem call the police and file it with your insurance company"

Well I will, got his reg plate, time of accident and will get a photo of it in a second to show he was parked there. Only going to file it if there is any significant damage though.

It was the fact he reversed in so quickly that got me... it's not even where he parks normally and how rude he was about it, never recalled a parked, stationary car in a parking space to blame for an accident with a reversing car.
