There are a number of w7 keys available to buy on ebay .. one or two sellers have lots of feedback .. all good.

I am tempted at £20 .. its a big saving and i only use windows now and again ..

If I buy one is it going to get blacklisted in a months time - can they possibly be legit at that price?

Thoughts ..

I doubt they're legit. If you really want to use a dodgy copy of Windows then you could just google and save yourself £20. :)

Probably

Doubt it. Maybe a full license key that's been several times, or a developer or corporate key. I doubt MS would agree that it's okay if they found out.

These people aren't licensed to resell these keys otherwise they wouldn't be being sold on Ebay - it can't be legit by definition.

MS might be judged by many to be the great al-Shaitan but that's no excuse. I'm no fan of MS (see the sig) but truthfully IMO everybody should think long and hard before purchasing or using a dodgy copy of Windows or any other software.

I can think of very short-term i.e. emergency reasons for doing it but otherwise.... come on - you know you know better than that.

If it's that desperate, you can always download a trial version from the MS website which lasts about 120 days or so and is a) free and b) legal.

I'm guessing they're either selling MSDN, technet or partner keys.

None of which are legal to sell.

Or use a Live Linux CD.

I can't be the only one that presumed some fool was selling buttons off a keyboard for outrageous prices, can I?

The point is, i don't want to use a dodgy copy .. i'm aware there are cracks out there .. hence the question ..

I was guessing technet keys but then some of these guys have sold hundreds of keys without them getting blacklisted ..

sooo, what is the cheapest way to get a non upgrade (and legit) copy of home premium then .. i guess you can tell i'm a bit broke atm.

Student offer WILL start again soon

It stops between semesters
