THE FINAL SEASON OF LOST RETURNS TO SKY1/HD ON FEBRUARY 5TH AT 9PM

I'm a big fan of Lost and look forward to the final season hoping all will start making sense; I will miss the lovely Kate (Evangeline Lilly) when all is done and dusted though.....

Unlike some of my friends I never got into Lost. But then there's a lot of American imports I don't get into. There seems to be a lot of vampire based imports at the moment.

I have to admit I watched the first series and really enjoyed it. Then it went to sky and, as I was recording it for a friend, I watched the whole second series. At that point it was kind of already starting to fall apart in terms of being coherent drama. I then missed the beginning of the third series, caught it about 6 shows in and thought 'WTF'?

You caught it at the worst possible time Jon. Gutted for you.

In anticipation of it's return, I've begun a marathon re-watching of every episode and I'm currently on ep 10 of season 1! Hoping to cram them all in for a refresher, then very much looking forward to the conclusion. I'm not even that bothered about "answers", I just want a satisfying conclusion. Very excited!

Yeah, it kind of lost it's way in the middle. Shouldn't have been more than four series IMO.

Anybody know of Sky are doing a catch-up/reminder episode or do I need to watch the last two season 5 episodes on Thursday and Friday?

Well I've just finished season 2 and I'm gonna try hard to get 3,4, and 5 done this week. Could be tough. Re-watching it is brilliant though. Loads of little nuances are coming to the fore. Knowing the characters allows you to take in every little thing about them that much more. Also the mythology of the island is even more vivid.

There is a catchup show (2hrs) planned for the US premiere which will recap all 5 seasons. Whether we'll see it over here or not - I don't know. Essentially though, Damon and Carlton have basically said that if you watched season 1, you can probably sort of jump in at the premiere.

Thats the bit I have problems with, and why I gave up on it in season three.

I keep promising myself that I will watch the first three seasons again with a notepad, marking down how many questions are asked, and just how many have even been addressed, nevermind actually answered. But then I CBA, and suspect that watching it again will be even more frustrating.

This isn't an out and out rant, I had high hopes for the show but ended up bitterly disappointed. :(

Well I was on ep 10 on Jan 19th according to my above post. Which means I've watched approximately 40 eps in just over 10 days. So maybe I'll be a little late to the party, but I'll be better informed for it :)
Really enjoying it second time around as well. It's even better than last time and the flashbacks make tons more sense too.

Hmm... I may have to hold back on the start of the new season and start watching them all again in order.

Recommended Oli! Just watched ep 2 of season 3 with my lunch and the flashbacks are forming an even better picture of Desmond, Penny, Charles - all the long-term and background players. Of course, cramming them like this makes you pic out all the relevant details and retain them. The first time around, I wasn't sure what would be relevant so I tried to retain everything. Which is impossible of course! Got Juliette back now as well, which is nice :)

I might miss the premiere by a few days, but it's worth it in my opinion. You're gonna have to crack on now though mate!

Is an interesting idea I must admit, I may suggest it to the GF.
