With a close relative's wedding coming up, I thought I'd better start looking into accommodation. Given that there's four, potentially five, of us I know we'd have to settle for cheap and cheerful.

Except I don't have a clue about Glaswegian hotels. Tripadvisor gives conflicting reviews. The same hotel can be clean and dirty within a week of each other.

Can anyone recommend hotels? Or should I be looking at more expensive well known chains to ensure where we stay isn't a complete dive?

Thanks in advance.

There's plenty of the usual chains up there. Just find the one nearest your wedding as Glasgow is HUGE! Think I stayed at Premier Inn. There's about 4/5 of them in Glasgow.

Don't drink too much as the portions for shots are the equivalent of our doubles lol.

You know what the standard will be in one of the bigger national chain hotels. I tend to use them as a last resort but its a handy backup. You might get a reduction if you book now?

I only have direct experience of the Campanile hotel not far from the SECC.

I have no clue as to costs, seeing as our stay was paid for by our hosts, but the quality was excellent.
