Hi all,

If I have a few components and I know their power needs, and I have a battery and I know it's power details. How can I calculate how long the battery will last?

Many thanks,
Ben

Divide the Ahr rating of the battery by the combined current consumption in Amps of the components will give expected life in hours.

For example, a rechargeable AA battery is typically 2Ahr and will provide 1 amp for 2 hours, or 2 amps for 1 hour. This obviously reduces the more the battery is recharged.

current*time ?

batteries are measured in voltages and also mah usually, milliamp hours, should be able to roughly calculate from that

Thanks guys. I knew it was simple, but my head is frizzled and I wasn't sure how to stick it in to Google.

Many thanks :)
