With a close relative's wedding coming up, I thought I'd better start looking into accommodation. Given that there's four, potentially five, of us I know we'd have to settle for cheap and cheerful. Except I don't have a clue about Glaswegian hotels. Tripadvisor gives conflicting reviews. The same hotel can be clean and dirty within a week of each other. Can anyone recommend hotels? Or should I be looking at more expensive well known chains to ensure where we stay isn't a complete dive? Thanks in advance. |

There's plenty of the usual chains up there. Just find the one nearest your wedding as Glasgow is HUGE! Think I stayed at Premier Inn. There's about 4/5 of them in Glasgow. Don't drink too much as the portions for shots are the equivalent of our doubles lol. |

You know what the standard will be in one of the bigger national chain hotels. I tend to use them as a last resort but its a handy backup. You might get a reduction if you book now? Al |

I only have direct experience of the Campanile hotel not far from the SECC. I have no clue as to costs, seeing as our stay was paid for by our hosts, but the quality was excellent. http://www.campanile-glasgow-secc.co.uk/en/index.aspx |
