Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy is currently working on a solo album – and Slash does a guitar solo on it.

Says Kennedy: “As always, he knocked it out of the park! They don’t call him one of the best guitarists of all time for nothing.”

Kennedy himself appears on Slash’s upcoming, self-titled solo album. He’ll also be fronting the band currently being put together by the guitarist for a world tour.

Slash will be on The Culture Show on BBC2 tomorrow (Thursday, March 4) at 7pm.

Duff McKagan’s aubiography is currently up for auction – and the bidding is said to have topped $250,000 already.

The bids for the Velvet Revolver – and one time Guns N’ Roses – bassist’s book are being made by publishing houses on the basis of a 40-page proposal, which starts on the day in 1994 when his pancreas burst.

In the meantime, former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler is to have his autobiography published by HarperCollns on June 22. It’s titled My Appetite For Destruction: Sex, And Drugs And Guns N’ Roses.
