I shall be logging off later for about 3 weeks.

I have a date with a hammock by a Finnish lake with the latest Culture novel, after a wedding in Helsinki that is.

House & cat sitter sorted, bags nearly packed. Now I just have to decide how much sleep I really need as I have to get up at 3ish. So, about 3 or 4 hours then. :D

Currently trying to come up with reasons as to why the GF doesn't have to take all the crap we don't need to leave at the summer house. I don't think that's going to happen.

So have a good summer all, what you all up to?

That means I'd have to get out of my hammock. :D

No computers, no internet and barely any TV for me (except for F1). Just trees and wildlife. Hopefully we'll see an Elk or two in the woods again, I won't mind if the bears give us some space.

Be nice to catch up with the bats who live in the sauna and the dancing squirrels. :D

All the very best, mate and congrats.

As for me (you did ask) we're off to RIAT at RAF Fairford this weekend and then I am looking forward to some lie-ins once the kids go back to school. The first week in August, I'm off down south for a wedding, so that takes care of the time that you are away. See you in August.

Sounds good. The lie-ins especially, bang goes for mine tomorrow, I'll be on a plane in 8 hours, sleeping may be optional tonight.

Edit: Right, signing off until August as my taxi will be here in 6 hours, have a fun summer all. ;) :D

yes loads of scandinavians have summer houses, even if they are small. My ex has a 3 bed summer house in a small village and our daughter got one for her 18th birthday. Though some are little more than large sheds. Great fun though. Beware the mosquito's though. How far north in Finland are you going?

Have a good time.
