If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Some say that ignorance is bliss whilst others claim that hope springs eternal.

Having loved and lost, (and loved again) I say it is far better to have...

Did everyone see that? Just for once I try and make a sensible, thought provoking and some would say almost poetic post and within moments some muppet has to drag it down to "stupid" level...

;) :P  :etc: <-- Smilies to indicate the non-serious nature of my jovial retort.

On the whole I agree. I'd rather not live in ignorance, even if knowledge brings pain.

Chips aren't stupid, chip bags are... everyone knows that chips should be wrapped in newspaper. ;)

Edit to add: Apologising to Matt for assisting in the hijacking of this thread, (and I'm fairly sure we must have broken a record with this one!)

Now then... back on topic. Does anyone remember what we were discussing?

Ah, yes... is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved?

Discuss. Again. ;)

It's definitely "better", but boy does it hurt. Ignorance can be bliss, but not in this case. To know that feeling and to remember it, is a quintessential part of the human experience.

Am I allowed to ask why you wanted to know?

Just trying to make sense of my current direction in life. Many things on my mind and was wondering what other people thought about what is quite an important question.

If you voted no I doubt you've ever really been in love.
