Thanks. I had dug around, but that second link has some interesting stuff on it. I find it a bit sad that he’s being described as “creepy” though. TV was different in the past, and he was clearly used to stage performance - those faces would look natural from a distance, but close up they look very unnatural and plastic. These days, singers would be coached to be more TV friendly.
