Just got back from seeing it and I'd have to say it's fun, but don't feel compelled to hunt out the 3D version. Felt a bit 'meh' about the 3D element; just a bit unnecessary for the story. Great graphics though - the smoke effects were very convincing. |

The zeroD version of TTLG is still available on iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Episode_1/ Unfortunately, Wonderland ep. 1 has now expired so you're too late, but you can still catch ep. 2 |

I suspect I will be going to see this but I won't be rushing out to catch the 3D version. It's just too expensive, or it is at the local cinema (Showcase), at over £9 just for the ticket last time I went. That's compared to £4.75 for the ticket on the day I normally go. |

What's the storytelling like in comparison to the Disney cartoon and the old movie? |

Thing is, it isn't a retelling of the story. It is set 13 years after the original. I really liked it. |

It's awesome. The cat is brilliant. I wouldn't be interested in watching it in 2D though. |

Kalena and Brooke, (18 and 8 respectively) went to see the 3D version yesterday and they both really liked it. That's it... I haven't seen it, and am not really interested, even if I could watch 3D, which I can't due to a dodgy eye. |

One forgets oneself. How does it compare to the books? The Disney cartoon was awful, and I’ve not seen the other film you mention. |

Are they also not interested in the difference between Jedi and Empire by any chance? |

Oh yeah, I think the crap 3D spoiled it a little bit for me but the film was good. I'll wait for the DVD to come out and watch it. The proper version is likely to be far better than the crappy 3D version. It was a different 3D system than Avatar used. The glasses were horrible and sat too far forward so that any light (security floor lighting) reflected back. (8+( These were mirrored lenses that weren't big enough. Stupid 3D, I spit on you! The Real 3D is a far better system, at least if the glasses annoy you you can remove 'em and still watch the film. If Alice had been in the 3d system of Avatar it would've been awesome. I've seen the two big 3D releases this year and I'm very underwhelmed by it. Mark |

Question re: 3D glasses at the cinema. Are they a free pair, if not are they cleaned properly before being used again? |
