Inspired by the 'UK inflation basket' seeing a rise in liquid's popularity... I'm going with liquid ![]() You can change your vote if you want ![]() |

I want to say "PIE!" but I can't, for two reasons ![]() Although liquid hand soap and liquid shower cream is incredibly expensive compared to economy block soap, it saves so much mess and it's so nice to use that I think it really is worth the extra. I don't use that much, so I think it's only a few pounds a year difference. I do have block soap, but I think it must be 20 years old by now. I've also got a few little blocks I won at various hotels, partly because my mum collected them ![]() I managed to buy some really nice Imperial Leather hand wash cream for 29p a while back in Sainsbury's, but that was an unusual bargain. It's well worth looking around though; the supermarkets are often cheaper than the pound shop or Wilkinson's. |

Liquid... It's more hygenic. |

PIE! I use liquid in the toilets and in on the basins in the bathroom, but still prefer a bar of soap in the bath. I use shower gel in the shower. Given how cheap liquid soap is, there isn't much of a price difference, when you buy the economy versions of both. The lack of mess and the increased hygiene, especially in the toilet, are good reasons to use liquid soap. |

Liquid. It's easier and makes much less mess on the sink, mess that I have to clear up. |

Thing with liquids is you're buying a lot of water that you don't get in a bar, so they may cost the same but the bar will last a lot longer. |

People think liquid soap's a new thing, but Swarfega has been around since I was a small child. Mark |

Both. In the kitchen it has to be liquid, in my mind. In the shower/bath I have a bar. At the moment I have liquid (x2) in the bathroom, but bar would be equally happy there. |

I suppose washing-up liquid is also a form of liquid soap too. Mark |

Liquid all the way. Also, why do women who know I use shower gel rather than shampoo on my head look at me as though I've commited genocide?
