I spent 5 months as a professional TV watcher and have seen and caught up with so much.

One of the best series I saw was 'Please Like Me' on Prime. It's a very quirky, funny and original show written by and staring an Australian comedian. The show tackles all kinds of taboo subjects, such as mental health, in such a heartfelt way you can't help but love it.

Not sure if you lot would appreciate it but give it a try and if you don't like it turn it off and watch something else :)

Downloaded an episode to watch

I see you need to buy :o Tin Star on amazon so will have to see if I can find it elsewhere

Let me know what you think :)

Star Trek : Discovery. I've finished the first season, has anyone else?

Make sure you don't catch up with Rebecka Martinsson on All 4 available on demand now

I gave Rebecca Martinsson a watch on your recommendation. I love a bit of Scandi noir, but maybe I won't be moving to the area as it seems as dangerous as Midsomer!

I've recently discovered Endeavour.
ie Inspector Morse, the early years.
It's pretty good if you like crime dramas.

Finally caught up at the weekend. Yes, I have to say it was a good wrap up to first season.

Just reading the first Morse book (Last Bus to Woodstock), what a masoginistic, bumbling arse!

There was one part that really got to me and I nearly walked away from the book, there were two characters in bed, mand and woman, who were questioning whether it is actually rape a young woman, as they are "gagging for it". The woman said, that no, the man couldn't rape her, because she would never put up a resistance, "now rape me!"

 It just shows how old the series really is.

The last episode just ended here. I liked it, it’s very much got a Next Generation vibe to it, and some of the stories are clearly from Brannon Braga’s notebook.

I've got a couple more episodes to go. I quite enjoyed it up the point where I realised that the actor who plays Ash Tyler was also Clem Fandango in "Toast Of London" and after that I couldn't take all the angst seriously as I kept expecting him to say "Can you hear me Steven?"

No, I got bored and lost interest after seven or eight episodes.

That's a shame. It really picks up in the second half of the season.

Oh my days! What a rollercoaster that was. Series 1 & 2 on Prime and I highly recommend it.

A solid 9/10
