I heard the writer(s) interviewed shortly after series 1 premiered and they said they'd 'shifted around' things from the books in the TV series to make it work a bit better on TV. The overall order of things apparently hasn't changed significantly, but we're being shown things that are basically happening at the same time in a slightly different sequence.

Hmm, this isn't good. The Expanse is on Netflix and Archer is on Netflix. at this rate I might actually have to sign up.
I've not seen The Expanse series yet (other than the odd YouTube clip) but the first book in the series (Leviathan Wakes) is absolutely excellent and I gather they've made a decent effort to broadly stick to the book(s).

Honestly, Netflix is worth the money - way above and beyond any sub from Sky etc.

Nickelodeon Announces Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2D Animated Series - IGN

The current cartoon is fantastic, a real blend of the entire canon.

This mystical angle sounds slightly weird, though in the IDW comics the modern day turtles and Splinter are reincarnations from medieval Japan.

You know it's a comic book show right? Or is that the joke?

Thought that's why you said look for yourself, with you not liking the comic book stuff.

Well I've only watched the first one so far and it was a bit weird so holding judgement until I've seen a couple more. I recorded it before I knew it was comic book <sigh> lol

So were Road To Perdition, A History of Violence, The Mask, Blade... All good films. Indeed, films that will never see a sequel continue in comic book form.

I'm more opposed to the big block buster superhero Marvel / DC films than comic book films & shows in general.

12 Monkeys S1 has popped up on Netflix, I see.
That's now added to my viewing list.
