Hello everyone.
Apparently Season 3 of The Expanse will stream on Amazon from November 15th.
Which has been a long wait.
I've just been looking at adding S3 to my Amazon watchlist, but it's not there.
Only seems available to buy on DVD for the UK.

I guess it just means an even longer wait for international viewers, which surprises me a little because if Amazon has the show, it should be available globally on the Prime service.

I'm looking at the date of release for S3 of The Expanse on Amazon - 4 November 2019.
So, a bit of a wait then.

Oh, fark. They trying to out-delay GoT season 8?

Wait, season 3? You mean season 4, surely?

Why should it? That's like saying all Netflix content should be available globally. I'm sure even you know that International licencing is complicated

Well, no, it's not.
Amazon now owns the production of the show, nobody else has any other rights, international or otherwise.
The show was originally cancelled, so all contracts in place for that deal become void, Amazon picks it up under a new set of terms, and I don't imagine Amazon would want a rival streaming service to carry its content.

This is different to having a Netflix original, because Netflix often labels co-produced shows as Netflix originals even if it is a co-production with other streaming rights attached.

Yes, I know international licensing can be complicated, but when a streaming company re-commissions a show that was cancelled, those complications don't apply.

Started on Ozark and Salem on Netflix. I’m not sure what to make of them yet, and i’m about 4 episodes in.

I found Salem to be a big disappointment. There was a lot of things it could have done, and it went down the route of least interest.
Of course you may not feel the same way about it.

Penny Dreadful is kinda-sorta returning.
Called Penny Dreadful : City of Angels, the show will be relocated from London to Los Angeles circa 1938.
It's being described as 'a spiritual descendant' of the original show, and has original show creator John Logan working on this show.

I totally loved Penny Dreadful. Sumptuous production from start to finish, and easily one of the best shows I've seen in the last few years.
I'm a bit conflicted about this new show announcement.

Given the names involved, I’m surprised. It seems to be being done for the sake of it at times. I’’m finding Ozark starting to be more interesting.

Also Bates Motel is kind of interesting.

Also we’re watching the Big Bang Theory, and we’ve passed the place were we stopped last time (which was the end of season 6), and I’m getting the feeling that I’ve seen some of the unseen episodes before. I don’t think I have - it’s more likely to be the general receptiveness of it.

Since moving in with swmbo, I've not had much time for TV. So things like South Park, Family Guy, and TBBT have all fallen by the wayside. I do sometimes see scenes of TBBT as they're often aired on Channel 4 and E4, so even when channel flipping, I might see a bit. Might this influence whether you've seen it before?
