Have I Got News For You has started, and a Nigel Farage was the patsy this week. He took the criticism well, but I think he misses the point that Hislop is a bloody good political observer and was making some good points in a cleverly humorous way.

I am surprised it’s on now. We know that within the next week or so, a General Election will be called. During this time, political comedy dies a horrible death. I wonder what the BBC is up to. Will a member of each party be a guest for ridicule and japery?

I saw this and thought it quite brave of an MP to make their presence at this particular time on a programme that almost makes its living out of slagging off politics/politicians.

He is not an MP yet. He is just a mere MEP, with aspirations to be an MP. Though I never expect to see Stephen Byers on the show not now that he is a cabbie.
