The owner's wife (of my place of work) is today doing the accounts and she's doing my head in. I have to sit in silence and pretend to be busy and that's been going on since 10:00

Soooooooooooooo bored.

Zippy, eat something FFS!

I have literally NOTHING to do.

I'm wasting away. My mind, body and soul rot in this chair whilst I could be contributing to the universe in vastly more useful and fulfilling ways. Last weekend I coordinated a wedding reception on site and that was a far better use of my time and skills. Oh well.

When somebody gives me something interesting to do, I shall do it. Until then, the tragic waste continues....

What do you do? Your actual job (rather than what you do instead of it) :D

I'm supposed to be Guest Relations Manager for a 26-acre holiday resort. However, the place has question marks over it's future as the owner doesn't have a clear vision. I was brought in to help shape that future and improve the guest experience. The latter of which, I have made some impact with. The former is going nowhere fast.

Today, I have seen 3 people come in to use the swimming pool and perhaps answered maybe 3 phone calls since 0830. I'm very, very bored.

Oh dear, that's not very motivational. Do you go on walkabouts to visit the guests and have 'relations' with them, find out how they're doing, if they need anything etc??

From the other Random thread (crappy quoting FTL! )

Women could rule this world if they didn't spend so much time worrying about each other's intentions ;)

No, it's not very motivational. Yeah, I should be on walkabout most of the day, getting people what they need. However, today I'm here by myself and therefore tied to the pool building all day. DE.PRESS.ING.

Ah end of season slowdown blues.
At least being on pool duty you get to look at fat British people trying to swim.
