Quite a lot humans dont even see their own faults etc as I see it everywhere and it must be horrible to be totally "oblivious" of having a personality trait that has a negative impact towards other humans :shock: for example my alcoholic friend who when drunk thinks hes the friendliest guy in the world when its the complete opposite yet he doesn't see it, hes untidy, talks over people, eats loud and is just generally disgusting.

I think my main personality flaws are that I am quite judgemental over humans yet I will give them a second chance as Im aware how quick the brain wants to judge people etc, and it feels most of the time im right even tho im not in some cases :cry: I think I come across as dogmatic sometimes even though I come across as very opinionated, most of the time its "IMO" even though I dont mention the imo :oops: Another flaw of mine is I constantly analyse everything and in brain, feels as though I have to explain certain things as incase it comes across as weird or arrogant or strange etc, hard to explain and another flaw is which is hard to admit is not sure the word but I get overemotional far too easy, I think I was born with girls brain sometimes :lol: as it must of been Indian films that softened my brain up as I cry at them sometimes :roll: and years ago I actually cried at final fantasy 9 :roll: but I dont feel so bad admitting that as loads of gamers did the same with that game LOL! and also when I was at glasgow and had to go back to the horrible north so when hugged friend goodbye my stomach and throat went tight and had to concentrate on not letting tears out, so I dont think thats normal behaviour for a male!?!? and I think its another personality flaw right there.

Another I guess is just beating up myself too much as in putting myself down all the time lol. If I talk to someone and if I somehow "praise" myself then I HAVE to say something bad about myself afterwards to put myself in place again if that makes sense.

I do know my flaws and quirks. It's what makes me normal. Some of them I play up, others I try to keep out of sight or under control. It's just being a normal socially active member of the species.

I'm sure as heck not going to tell all and sundry about them here, though. Anyone that knows me well enough already knows my good and bad points. ;)

I can get short tempered when people don't let me talk in a conversation, if I get angry I go quiet, so no one knows what's wrong.
I'm quite hypocritical, but I'm always trying not to be.

That's really true. When I look back on how I was 10, 20 or 30 years ago I can see all kinds of stupid misunderstandings and character flaws which I was oblivious to at the time. People have always told me that I'm "not very observant" and I'm afraid it's true. I never get the "underlying message" when someone is trying to be subtle, so people often think I'm insensitive. I think I'm better than I was, but it's hard to tell without hindsight.

I wish people would just speak their mind. Dropping little hints and obscure references simply isn't communication on a level I understand. If people tell me something, I tend to assume they mean it. I went through a phase of complete paranoia when I questioned every single thing that people said, which was an absolute nightmare. If people just said what they mean all the time, then it would never have been a problem.

Ironically, my usual form of humour is sarcasm. When asked a question, I'll often give what I believe to be a humorousely exaggerated answer. For example, if asked if I exercise I might reply that I jog over 9000 before breakfast. To me, it's clearly absurd and it amuses me. However, I have since discovered that some people believe my unbelievable tales.

My other main problem is my temper. I get very angry when people are rude and inconsiderate. I want to eliminate them from the gene pool with extreme prejudice. Usually I can calm myself with concentrated meditation, but sometimes I have to take out my anger on something inanimate. I've broken a lot of innocent crockery, and quite a few keyboards. It's better than actually killing the person, but it does get annoying when there's not a keyboard in the house with a space-bar or shift-key on... It's especially true if I'm not sedated on nicotine; and it's not simply withdrawal.

I don't think that's a flaw. At least, I hope it isn't because I totally relate. I cry at nearly every film I go to see, and yet out of the 5 or more girls I've sat with in the cinema I don't think they cried once between them!

That's simply being polite. It's totally normal where I live, and also in Japan. I think in America they're more arrogant and less humble. Not sure about other cultures.

Of course, if you're self-deprecating with a smarmy smirk, then that's "false modesty" and someone will punch you.

iam depressive, most people who i talk talk to, generally get a little depressed too, another thing is people can tell me all sorts of secrets, but i dont tell anyone mind

oh that and conversation, iam very bad at that as some people might know :roll:

Sadly I get that feeling and of late I just feel like I can't connect with people.
