I have a taste for spicy snacks, so when I saw a pack of jalapeno-and-habanero flavoured crisps, I was overjoyed. Imagine my disappointment where I could taste the typical tast of jalapenos but without the heat. No spiciness whatsoever. A bit like ready salted crisps without the salt!
Have you ever bought something from a supermarket with the promise of something that made you buy it but only disappointed you in the end?

Garlic flavoured crisps. Overly spicy food, or blooming coriander. It happens all the time, so i cook from scratch.

All ready-made food from a supermarket, too salty or bland and too expensive, I´m frequently disappointed by fruit that looks like ambrosia and tastes like air. God I can´t stand coriander.

I normally have medium strength limit when it comes to curries but a supermarket curry can be so mild that even a vindaloo fails to raise a tear.

+1 Except that I love coriander, but the fresh stuff always gives me heartburn.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The local Tesco did recently have some Wasabi Pringles in which were actually pretty potent. The Wench couldn't even manage one before reaching for a glass of water (although she's a bit of a lightweight in that department).
If you find them, I'd give them a try.
